China Just Tested a Hypersonic Weapon That Could Launch Nukes at 6 Times the Speed of Sound

China successfully tested the hypersonic aircraft on Friday (August 3), which could one day be able to shoot nuclear missiles around the planet six times faster than the speed of sound, according to China's state-owned news website.

The aircraft, known as the Starry Sky-2, is reportedly able to scream across the sky at speeds up to 4563 miles per hour (7,344 km / h) and quickly switch in the direction of the average flight, according to the China Daily, potentially allowing the rocket to explode existing missile defense systems .

A video about the launch of Starry Sky-2 (which was conducted in an undisclosed location in the north-west of China) showed that the aircraft is launched into space on a multi-stage rocket. Then the plane separated from its launcher and continued to fly independently, taking off approximately by Mach-5.5 (five and a half times the speed of sound) for 400 seconds, according to China Daily. According to a statement published in the South China morning post, the aircraft carried out several maneuvers at an altitude of about 18 miles (29 km) before landing in the designated target zone - a demonstration whose evidence was declared "a huge success."

"Starry Sky-2", which is being developed by the China Aerospace Aerodynamics Academy in Beijing, is an example of a "waverider" car. As the name suggests, the wheels are smooth, swept planes built to slip along the pressure waves created by their own supersonic elevator - essentially allowing the plane to travel over the shock waves. Thus, Waveriders are able to maintain impressive hypersonic speeds (Mach 5 or higher speeds), making fast variable track trajectories, making them particularly difficult to prevent missile defense.

Chinese military expert Song Zhongping (China Zhongping) said that for many years the technology can not be ready for use in combat conditions. Chinese military expert Song Zhongping said that China's successful test of "shoulder to shoulder" with the US and Russia in the development of hypersonic shock systems,

In March, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that his country's military is working hard on hypersonic weapons, codenamed "Avangard", which, he said, can reach speeds of Mach 20 and may be ready for deployment in 2020.

Meanwhile, the US is also willing to develop its own hypersonic weapons, including a hypersonic missile that can be launched from a combat aircraft. The American defense company Lockheed Martin reported in June that they had been awarded a contract worth about $ 100 million to develop a missile for the US Air Force.

China never fails to impress the world by it's technology. I have read so many articles on about inventions by china and all are innovative. In no time, China has achieved a lot.

China is moving fast with their technology, and it's hard to keep up with them. I am wasting my time here playing Zodiac casino for NZ gamblers, but playing online Zodiac casino with friends is good way of making money.
